Nearly forty years of practice. Every test Stephen uses. Every protocol he follows. Available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — between sessions, after hours, when the question won't wait.
Client access is opened after your first consultation with Stephen. Interpreting your results without first assessing you is the problem this practice exists to solve — so the assessment comes first, then the assistant.
The AIdan Client Access is an AI clinical assistant trained on Stephen Duncan's entire clinical knowledge base — nearly forty years of working with people, all five test panels, every protocol, every reference range, every pattern he looks for when interpreting results.
It answers questions the way Stephen would in a consultation — with clinical specificity, not generic health advice. Ask it about your DUTCH results. Ask it why you wake at 3am. Ask it what a raised calprotectin means for your symptoms. It knows.
It is not a replacement for your appointments with Stephen. It is what fills the space between them — the questions that arise at 11pm when you're reading your results, the moment you're not sure whether to take your supplement with food or without, the day you want to understand the mechanism behind what's happening in your body.
"Most of the value in functional health work happens between sessions — when clients are making daily decisions, reading their results, wondering if what they're experiencing is the protocol working or something to flag. AIdan is there for all of that."
— Stephen Duncan FDN-P BSc Hons MScSend it a photograph of any supplement label. It will tell you whether the dose matches the dose used in the research, whether ten actives are competing for space in one gummy, what the label conspicuously does not state, and what a well-formulated version would look like. It does not sell supplements and has nothing to gain from the answer.
It will walk you through a postural and movement self-assessment, interpret what you report back, and connect the findings — because a failed hip hinge, limited ankle mobility and lower back pain are usually one pattern rather than three problems. It also knows when training is the wrong intervention entirely.
Ask about any marker on your DUTCH, GI-MAP, Metabolomix+, blood panel, or IgG results. Get a clear explanation of what it means, why it matters, and how it connects to your symptoms.
Questions about your supplement protocol, meal timing, prep instructions for testing, or how to sequence recommendations — answered precisely, not generically.
Why does low ferritin cause hair loss? What does elevated beta-glucuronidase mean for oestrogen? How does the gut drive brain symptoms? AIdan explains the biology clearly.
Share results from your DH programme, NHS tests, or any private tests you've had done elsewhere. AIdan can discuss any result in the context of your broader health picture.
Am I drinking enough water? Is my breakfast timing right? Is this level of training appropriate given my cortisol results? Practical, clinically informed answers to everyday questions.
Describe what you're experiencing and explore the possible functional mechanisms behind it. Understand your body more deeply between appointments.
Client access opens once Stephen has assessed you. He needs to know your history before an assistant starts interpreting your results against it.

These are the questions that arise between sessions — at 11pm reading results, at the gym wondering about training load, in the supermarket unsure about a food. AIdan handles all of them.
"My DUTCH showed low morning cortisol but I feel wired at night — what does that pattern mean?"
DUTCH interpretation"I've been told I have IBS but nothing helps. Could my food sensitivity results explain why?"
Result correlation"I wake up every night between 2 and 4am and can't get back to sleep. What's causing it?"
Symptom exploration"My GI-MAP showed H. pylori. What does that mean for my digestion and what comes next?"
Pathogen interpretation"I'm training 5 days a week but my body composition isn't changing. Could my cortisol be the problem?"
Training and hormones"Should I take my magnesium in the morning or evening? Does it matter?"
Protocol support"My NHS blood test says my thyroid is 'normal' but I have every hypothyroid symptom. Why?"
Functional vs lab normal"I've had a private blood test done elsewhere — can I share it and get your thoughts?"
External result upload"My brain fog is worse after eating. I can't work out which foods are doing it."
Food and cognitionThis is a tool for people who want to understand their health at a deeper level — not just receive recommendations but know the reasoning behind them. If you want to be an active participant in your own clinical picture, AIdan is built for you.
You're in the TDG Five-Test Programme or Resilient Gut System and have results coming in. Questions arise constantly — AIdan answers them in real time.
You're the person who reads everything, wants to understand the mechanisms, and finds standard health advice frustratingly superficial. AIdan meets you at your level.
Your active programme has finished but you want ongoing clinical support and guidance as you implement and monitor. AIdan keeps that connection alive.
Multiple diagnoses, years of failed approaches, a lot to unpick. AIdan helps you organise the picture, understand the connections, and prepare better questions for consultations.
The current version is the clinical knowledge foundation. What we're building next turns it into a full ongoing health management platform for clients who want that level of engagement.

Language models are extremely good at producing answers that sound right. Ask one about a clinical framework it has never encountered and it will typically invent one — coherent, confident, plausible, and wrong. In a health context that is not a quirk. It is a hazard.
AIdan is built with an explicit instruction to recognise the edge of its own knowledge and stop there. Ask about a concept, a study or a protocol it does not hold, and it will tell you so and point you somewhere useful — rather than reconstructing something from the shape of the words.
The same discipline runs through the knowledge base itself. Every clinical claim has been checked against primary literature. Claims that are commonly taught but poorly evidenced are labelled as such. Where research is contested, AIdan says it is contested. Where a figure circulates widely without a traceable source, AIdan will not quote the figure.
It will tell you that alkaline phosphatase is not a reliable zinc marker. It will tell you a TSH of 3.2 is not treatable hypothyroidism. It corrects rather than repeats.
Very few health AI tools meet this standard. It is worth asking why.
Three honest limitationsAIdan will not diagnose a condition. It will not replace a consultation in a complex case. And it will not override advice your GP or specialist has already given — if you have been told something by a clinician who has examined you, AIdan supports that advice rather than relitigating it.
